SIB 12 19 11: Water leak service information

Water leak service information on BMW E65/E66 models (2008); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10042487 · Nov 2011 · also written SI B12 19 11, B121911

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

After being removed, the electric motor electronics connector, that leads to AC compressor, must be sealed properly in order to prevent water ingress after being reinstalled.
