BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10163996 · Jul 2019 · also written SI B12 24 19, B122419

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

ENGINE MAY SWITCH OFF SHORTLY AFTER THE FIRST MSA RESTART. MSA is the automatic start/stop feature for the engine. The engine may switch off immediately after an automatic start (MSA restart).
