BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10167994 · Oct 2019 · also written SI B12 27 18, B122718

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: PROGRAM THE CONTROL UNIT (DME): If a Valvetronic fault occurs, the catalytic converter heating intensity may be reduced. This situation will not generate a customer complaint.
