SIB 13 02 19: Wiring harness vibration

Wiring harness vibration on BMW G01 models (2018–2019); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10160333 · Apr 2019 · also written SI B13 02 19, B130219

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: CHECK THE TANK VENT VALVE LINE. In certain conditions the engine wiring harness may come in contact with the tank vent value line. Due to vibrations and oscillations the corrugated tubing of the engine wiring harness could wear through the tank vent valve line.
