SIB 22 02 22: Engine inspection

Engine inspection on B46/B48 engines (2016–2022); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10228427 · Nov 2022 · also written SI B22 02 22, B220222

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

During a vehicle inspection and/or while addressing a customer's concern, the engine stabilizer bar/link appears to be worn.
