SIB 24 01 11: Transmission leak

Transmission leak on N52/N55 engines (2011); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10040171 · Mar 2011 · also written SI B24 01 11, B240111

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Transmission oil is leaking because of a sealing cover located on transmission.
