What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
STEERING ASSISTANCE FAILURE DUE TO FAILURE OF AUXILIARY BATTERY. The steering is made more difficult by failure of the 12 V auxiliary battery. The Check Control message lights up: It is possible to continue driving. Steering effort and/or steering behavior is changed. Drive moderately.
