Steering noise on BMW G01/F97 models (2024); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11018515 · May 2025 · also written SI B32 05 25, B320525

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

“Knocking/thumping” noise during steering wheel movements and returning to the center position. See attached video V32 05 25 Column noise.
