SIB 33 01 25: Rattle noise

Rattle noise on BMW G42 models (2022–2025); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11029068 · Feb 2026 · also written SI B33 01 25, B330125

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

“Rattling” noises heard from the area of the luggage compartment when driving over a rough road surface.
