SIB 33 03 25: Axle shaft noise

Axle shaft noise on B58/N63 engines (2023–2025); BMW repairs affected cars free under a service campaign.

BMW service campaign · NHTSA ID 11023120 · Sep 2025 · also written SI B33 03 25, B330325

What it covers

A service campaign is a fix BMW performs free on affected cars. Ask a BMW center whether it is open on your VIN.

The rear right driven half-shaft (aka output shaft/driven shaft) may not have been manufactured correctly during production and may break. In the event of a failure, there could be significant noises in the area of the rear axle and the driving performance will be noticeably reduced.
