What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: CHECK AND REPLACE THE LEFT REAR AXLE SHAFT. The left rear output shaft may break. This could cause damage to the surrounding components at the left rear of the vehicle. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves certain i8 vehicles produced October 21, 2015 to November 4, 2015.
