Axle warning message on B46/B48/B58 engines (2019–2021); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10177623 · Jun 2020 · also written SI B34 03 20, B340320

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

PREMATURE WEAR OF THE REAR AXLE BRAKE PADS WITH STANDARD BRAKES: The CBS data and Check Control (CC) message shows the rear axle brake pads are worn, and the vehicle has less than 15,500 miles.
