SIB 34 05 10: Battery software update

Battery software update on BMW F10 models (2011); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10037645 · Dec 2010 · also written SI B34 05 10, B340510

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

There is a software error causing the sleep mode of the vehicle to be delayed which could drain the battery.
