SIB 51 09 11: Door service information

Door service information on BMW E90/E92/E93 models (2009–2010); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10040173 · Mar 2011 · also written SI B51 09 11, B510911

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Poor electrical connections are causing the instrument cluster to show the doors are open while driving even though they are closed.
