SIB 62 01 16: Instrument cluster software update

Instrument cluster software update on BMW E90/E92/E93/F15 and other models (2012–2018); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10151016 · Jan 2016 · also written SI B62 01 16, B620116

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Vehicles which have had the Instrument Cluster (KOMBI) replaced may display incorrect CBS (Condition Based Service) data after programming.
