SIB 62 12 15: Instrument cluster outside temperature display implausible

Instrument cluster outside temperature display implausible on BMW G01/G11/G12/G30 and other models (2010–2018); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10138402 · Apr 2018 · also written SI B62 12 15, B621215

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY IMPLAUSIBLE: In the Instrument Cluster (Kombi) display you may observe an implausible outside temperature reading.
