SIB 51 12 25: Tailgate noise
Tailgate noise on BMW G45/U10 models (2025); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11034456 · Jun 2026 · also written SI B51 12 25, B511225
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
A “groaning” noise is heard from the tailgatewhen driving on rough roads.
