SIB 51 27 24: Camera failure

What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The Ethernet bus of the Body Domain Controller (BDC) is interrupted so that audio output, rear viewcamera, or the driver assistance systems fail. The symptoms begin to appear during auto locking at approx.10 mph, or after the Central Locking button is activated.
