SIB 54 09 18: Sunroof leak
Sunroof leak on BMW F16 models (2018); the fix is replacing the affected part.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10149536 · Oct 2018 · also written SI B54 09 18, B540918
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
SERVICE ACTION: REPLACE SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF SEAL. The slide/tilt sunroof seal may leak water into the vehicle. The slide/tilt sunroof seal may have been cut too short, and may not correctly seal the roof.
