SIB 61 01 24: Rattle noise

Rattle noise on BMW G60/G70/G30/G31 models (2023–2025); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11013049 · Jan 2025 · also written SI B61 01 24, B610124

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

When driving over rough surfaces, a low-frequency rattling noise can be heard inside the vehicle's cabin. The noise typically sounds as though it is coming from the front right footwell area.
