EGR valve warning message on BMW G45/G60 models (2024–2025); BMW released a software update.

BMW service campaign · NHTSA ID 11036455 · Aug 2026 · also written SI B61 15 26, B611526

What it covers

A service campaign is a fix BMW performs free on affected cars. Ask a BMW center whether it is open on your VIN.

In vehicles equipped with the Roof Function Center “FZD‑21” variant, a quiescent‑current violation mayoccur if the system fails to enter sleep mode. When this sleep error is present, a remote software upgrade(RSU) may be aborted and the FZD can become degraded.
