What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is triggered by the erroneous fault code(s) BA0023 - Control unit: internalfault (software group fault) In addition, the BA0008 - CCU, internal coolant temperature sensor:Signal implausible faults may be stored in the CCU memory.
