What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
DELIVERY STOP: PROGRAM CONTROL UNIT FOR OBD FAULT. There may be a software error in the DME (Digital Motor Electronics) and/or BDC (Body Domain Controller) which sets an OBD (On Board Diagnostic) fault entry and trigger the CEL (Check Engine Light) to be illuminated.
