SIB 63 09 15: Headlight service information
Headlight service information on BMW F48 models (2016); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147782 · Oct 2015 · also written SI B63 09 15, B630915
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The LED headlight output is reduced due to insufficient cooling. The reduced light output falls short of the minimum high-beam power required by law.
