SIB 64 01 21: Sunroof noise

Sunroof noise on BMW G01/G02/F97/F98 models (2018–2022); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10211867 · Mar 2022 · also written SI B64 01 21, B640121

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The noise is loudest when the sunroof is in the vent position.
