Air conditioning check engine light on BMW G01/G30/F97 models (2018–2023); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10238088 · May 2023 · also written SI B64 05 23, B640523

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Check Engine Light is illuminated, check control message indicates ""bring in for service"". The faults themselves and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) have no functional effect on the vehicle.
