SIB 66 09 15: Camera warning message

Camera warning message on BMW F32/F33/F36/F48 and other models (2015–2016); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147890 · Dec 2015 · also written SI B66 09 15, B660915

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Sporadically, a CCM (Check Control Message) is displayed advising that the Camera-based Driver Assistant system has failed. During this failure, all KAFAS (Camera-based driver assistance systems) system functionalities are inoperative.
