How this is derived: the middle 50% (25th–75th percentile) of the USD prices in the table below for that shop type, using full-job totals only. Labor-only, customer-supplied-parts, warranty cost-share, bundled-extra-work and non-USD prices are shown but excluded. A range is only published with at least 3 usable prices. Symptoms

  • Rear of the car sits low after parking, often worse on one side
  • Chassis/suspension warning message
  • Air compressor running often or for a long time
  • Hissing from a rear wheel area
  • Cracks visible in the rubber bellows when the spring is compressed

Which cars are affected

F15 X5 (2014–2018) with rear air suspension (self-leveling, Dynamic/Adaptive packages or third-row seat); the same spring fits the F16 X6

F15 · X5 2014–2018

Priced as a pair: both rear air springs replaced together, which is the usual advice for even ride height. One genuine part fits left or right: 37126795013. The suspension has to be bled and refilled with a scan tool, and a failing spring can wear out the compressor if left too long. A new compressor is a separate job.
