"+" means a "starting at" price. Prices are the dealer's published figure on the date seen, before tax and fees; diesel exhaust fluid top-off is usually extra. Your exact price depends on your VIN: check it with BMW's Value Service price lookup or call the dealer. We checked Long Island and Westchester dealers too, but those we found publish only the $249 three-year oil plan, not a per-visit price, so the closest published prices for Long Island are the Connecticut and New Jersey dealers above.

Parts only, before tax. Use an oil that meets your engine's BMW Longlife spec (the B46/B48/B58 take LL-17 FE+ 0W-20 or the spec in your owner's manual). You'll also need a filter-housing socket, a drain pan and a way to reset the service reminder.

Every BMW we cover needs it. 4-cylinder: N20, B46, B48. 6-cylinder: N52, N54, N55, B58. V8: N62, N63, S63. BMW M and diesel models fall in the "Other" Value Service tier.

How much is a BMW oil change at the dealer?
Typical dealer oil-service prices run about $100–130 for 4-cylinder engines, $130–160 for 6-cylinder and $160–210 for V8s. Cars that qualify for BMW Value Service (from about 3 years old) can get a published program price, most often $119.99 for 4- and 6-cylinder models.
What is BMW Value Service?
A BMW of North America program with fixed, published prices for common maintenance on cars from 37 months after the original in-service date up to 20 years old, at participating BMW centers. It covers oil service, engine air filter, cabin microfilter, front and rear brake pads and rotors, wiper blades, spark plugs.
Is an independent shop cheaper for a BMW oil change?
Not always. On cars that qualify for Value Service, the dealer program price is often at or below what an independent shop charges for the same genuine-spec oil and filter.
