NHTSA 10150330: Battery service information

Battery service information on BMW E46/E60/E61/E63 and other models (2006–2013); BMW gives diagnosis and repair guidance.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10150330 · Oct 2012

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Discharged Battery: Energy Diagnosis Must Be Performed. The electrical system of BMW vehicles has been subject to an ongoing development process over the last few years. This has led to increased demands being placed on the battery.
