SIB 01 24 18: Engine service information

Engine service information on BMW E60/F01/F02/F06 and other models (2009–2017); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10160286 · Apr 2019 · also written SI B01 24 18, B012418

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

On the affected vehicles the CBS engine oil service interval has been reduced to 1 year/10000 miles to make these vehicles consistent with all other N63x engine equipped vehicles.
