SIB 12 04 23: Ground connection service information
Ground connection service information on BMW G01/G02/F97/F98 models (2018–2023); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10242686 · Aug 2023 · also written SI B12 04 23, B120423
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
An unapproved nut was used for the ground point for the chassis ground.
