BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10040044 · Jan 2013 · also written SI B12 09 11, B120911

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

There is a delayed throttle response when driving off with a high engine load. It occurs when it is hot outside, the A/C is switched on, and the wheel is turned slightly. There is a software problem.
