SIB 12 09 12: Throttle fault codes

Throttle fault codes on BMW E70/E71/F07/F25 and other models (2010–2013); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10049299 · Apr 2014 · also written SI B12 09 12, B120912

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Without relevant faults stored in DME memory, when at low speed maneuvering and idling, or steering turned to full lock position, or driving off throttle (coasting) and braking at 10MPH, vehicle would idle speed may fluctuate up and down or cut off.
