SIB 13 02 08: Engine failure

Engine failure on BMW E90/E92/E93 models (2007); the fix is replacing the affected part.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10032824 · Feb 2008 · also written SI B13 02 08, B130208

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service action: Replace the high pressure pump. An internal component in the high pressure pump (hdp) may fail, causing driveability symptoms such as longer starting times or erratic engine operation. It may also lead to a premature failure of the hdp on vehicles at higher mileages.
