SIB 16 02 22: Fuel gauge service information
Fuel gauge service information on BMW G05/E53/E70/F15 models (2006–2022); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10218412 · Jul 2022 · also written SI B16 02 22, B160222
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The fuel gauge may indicate the incorrect fuel level (full and reserve).
