Fuel tank leak on B38 engines (2014–2017); the fix is replacing the affected part.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10149966 · Sep 2018 · also written SI B16 05 18, B160518

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: REPLACE FUEL TANK DELIVERY UNIT I12 US. The pressure temperature sensor installed in the fuel delivery module can develop internal leaks. As a result, fuel may get into the sensor which might result in the sensor displaying an incorrect value.
