Fault codes software update on BMW F15 models (2014–2015); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148178 · Dec 2014 · also written SI B34 03 14, B340314

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service Action: Program Control Units (Dynamic Stability Control [DSC] OBD error). Due to a software error stored in the DSC control unit, a fault code memory entry is permanently stored. This fault is not displayed, nor can it be cleared using the BMW diagnostic tools.
