Equipment failure on BMW E90/E92/E93/F30 and other models (2012–2018); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10159130 · Mar 2019 · also written SI B51 11 19, B511119

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

SERVICE ACTION: SECURE UNDERBODY PANELING. Over time the mounting clips may fail allowing the center underbody panel to become loose. The mounting clips were not sufficiently hardened during production.
