What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

GROANING NOISE FROM A PILLAR WHEN OPENING OR CLOSING THE DOOR. There is a groaning noise from the A pillar area when opening or closing the doors. CAUSE The A pillar seal is sticking to the door in the area shown below. Condition the A pillar seals on both sides of the vehicle.
