SIB 51 35 14: Equipment adaptive/mobility vibration

Equipment adaptive/mobility vibration on BMW I12/I15 models (2014–2015); BMW gives an inspection and repair procedure.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148183 · Dec 2014 · also written SI B51 35 14, B513514

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service Action: Check Underbody Panel. Improper transportation loading may damage the vehicle's underbody panel in the area around the central screw connections. If the screw connection is missing or damaged, the underbody panel may vibrate. This could cause the underbody panel to break.

Before you pay, check the VIN for recalls. Some failures are covered by a safety recall or a BMW warranty extension.
