SIB 54 05 21: Sunroof service information

Sunroof service information on BMW G07/G11/G12/G14 and other models (2016–2023); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10242698 · Aug 2023 · also written SI B54 05 21, B540521

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The sunroof will not operate in either direction.
