Clicking Noise from Off-board Charger on Electric/W20 engines (2014–2016); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10147824 · Nov 2015 · also written SI B61 02 15, B610215

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Clicking Noise from Off-board Charger. While the vehicle is charging, the off-board charger is clicking. The clicking noise comes from the relays inside the charger cycling off and on.
