SIB 61 16 26: Warning message software update

Warning message software update on BMW I20 models (2022–2024); BMW released a software update.

BMW service campaign · NHTSA ID 11036456 · Aug 2026 · also written SI B61 16 26, B611626

What it covers

A service campaign is a fix BMW performs free on affected cars. Ask a BMW center whether it is open on your VIN.

In vehicles equipped with the Roof Function Center “FZD‑21” variant, a quiescent‑current violation mayoccur if the system fails to enter sleep mode. When this sleep error is present, a remote software upgrade(RSU) may be aborted and the FZD can become degraded.
