SIB 62 01 12: Instrument cluster service information

Instrument cluster service information on BMW E83/F25 models (2010–2011); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10043865 · Feb 2012 · also written SI B62 01 12, B620112

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Gauge needles randomly stop in wrong position on instrument cluster, moving the wrong way, showing incorrect values and remain in wrong position after ignition is switched off.
