SIB 62 02 16: Service Action: CBS Incorrect After Instrument Cluster Replacement

Instrument cluster software update on BMW I01 models (2014–2018); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10151017 · Jan 2016 · also written SI B62 02 16, B620216

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Vehicles which have had the KOMBI (Instrument Cluster) replaced may display incorrect CBS (Condition Based Service) data after programming.
