SIB 62 02 21: Software software update

Software software update on BMW G01/G05/G11/G12 and other models (2016–2021); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10200240 · Jun 2021 · also written SI B62 02 21, B620221

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The total electrically driven miles are lost/reset after the vehicle is programmed. This does not affect the total vehicle odometer reading.
