SIB 64 06 20: Air conditioning noise

Air conditioning noise on BMW F44 models (2020–2021); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10186891 · Dec 2020 · also written SI B64 06 20, B640620

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The customer hears a fizzing / gurgling noise coming from the center ventilation grille in the vehicle interior.
