SIB 64 06 23: Noise service information

Noise service information on BMW G26/G22/G23 models (2022–2024); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10247568 · Dec 2023 · also written SI B64 06 23, B640623

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

While the vehicle is at a standstill, a clicking noise can be heard in the passenger compartment. It must bequiet without other electrical loads or without driving noises to be heard. It sounds like the noise comes from under the hood.
