Emission control replacement on BMW F15 models (2014–2015); the fix is replacing the affected part.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148043 · Sep 2014 · also written SI B71 01 14, B710114

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

BMW centers must ensure Recalls are completed after having been notified by BMW of North America, LLC (BMWNA) that a safety-related defect or noncompliance exists in any motor vehicle or item of replacement equipment in the center's possession at the time of notification.
